PFAS Compliance: Our Commitment to a Safer, Sustainable Future
Sustainability remains a key driver in today’s manufacturing landscape—and at Yenom, it continues to shape our direction. As part of our ongoing commitment to environmental responsibility, we are proud to announce that our products are now certified compliant with the Australian Government’s PFAS regulations under the Industrial Chemicals Environmental Management Standard (IChEMS) and related environmental legislation.
Effective 1st July 2025, none of our labelstock products shipped to Australia will contain the three major classes of PFAS—PFOA, PFOS, and PFHxS—which are now listed as Schedule 7 high-risk chemicals under IChEMS. These substances are strictly prohibited due to their harmful effects on human health and the environment.
To ensure full compliance, Yenom has conducted rigorous testing through accredited third-party laboratories. Our materials are verified to be well below the legally permissible thresholds. These substances are not intentionally added as part of the ingredients in Yenom’s manufactured products:
- ≤ 0.025 mg/kg (25 ppb) for each of PFOA, PFOS, and PFHxS
- ≤ 1 mg/kg (1 ppm) for the total sum of related PFAS compounds

This regulatory action is in alignment with international environmental commitments. PFOA, PFOS, and PFHxS are all listed under the Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants, which Australia has ratified. Similarly, the REACH Regulation, under a 2023 draft proposal, seeks to implement one of the world’s most comprehensive PFAS bans—restricting the use, manufacture, and marketing of over 10,000 PFAS compounds across the EU. Beyond Australia and the EU, an increasing number of countries and regions are developing their own regulations and initiatives to address the risks of PFAS.
Our commitment doesn’t stop at certification. We maintain comprehensive compliance records including third-party test report, declaration letter, Technical Data Sheets (TDS), and Safety Data Sheets (SDS). These documents are regularly reviewed and updated to ensure traceability and up-to-date compliance.
